They explore sponsorship opportunities to provide revenue for the running of the convention. They design and produce the program book, signs, and other materials used at the convention. They organize convention volunteers and run the on-site ops booth.
The head of operations for 2011 is Christine Bender.
Departments
- On-Site Operations - On-Site Operations (or Ops as it is called) is the nerve center of the convention during the operating hours of the convention. Lost something or someone? Got a question, problem or emergency? Visit the friendly and knowledgeable folks in Ops, located in what the hotel calls the Coat Room. They may not know the answer, but they'll probably know where to get it.
We can also be reached via Twitter at PenguiProbs or by phone at 734-288-8008. Please note that these contact methods are only in operation during the weekend of the convention. Prior to that weekend, please email us at [email protected] with any questions or concerns.
Getting Involved
We currently need staff members to help man our operations booth and to do room counts and other tasks for Programming Ops. Please contact Christine at [email protected] if you are interested in getting involved!
