This is an old revision of the document!
Greetings!
I am John D. Bell, your event coordinator for Geeks With Guns.
2013 will be my third Penguicon; I was “dragged” to my first one by a fellow author in 2011, and I attended much of the Literature track, including Cat Rambo's workshop. In 2012, I volunteered to lead GwG (even though I hadn't handled a firearm since the mid-70's!), and I attended an assortment of activities in just about all of the tracks.
This year, as well as running GwG again, I'm track head for the newly (re-)created "Action / Adventure" track. My warmest thanks to Heather Gutterman and the rest of the staff at Polaris Fellowship of Weapons Study for their help with this.
Professionally, I'm a computer systems administrator and (somewhat out-of-date) open source programmer. I'm trying to become a published SF author (several short stories and a novel in progress).
Please do not hesitate to email me with suggestions about how to make GwG (or really, any part of Penguicon) better, or if you have any questions.
