LIFE TRACK
The Life Track has long consisted of the various activities, panels, and events which simply did not fall under any topical association with another track. In fact, in some years, the convention scheduled no Life Track programming whatsoever. Instead, all the extra bits of fun and excitement were scheduled without attachment to any track.
This did not not limit the extent of fun new activities or the sharing of information of lifestyles and hobbies, however. Instead, those involved realized the need for a dedicated Life Track once again. Countless interesting and unique hobbies and interests of all types were slowly being added to Penguicon programming.
The track became the go to area to bring new ideas and activities and expose the greater Penguicon Attendee to the parts of life that come between computer use and caffeine intake.
Penguicon After Dark
In 2011, the Life Track expanded to address alternative lifestyles as well as topics that were “not suitable for the kiddies” by adding a branch of programming known as “Penguicon After Dark.” Some of the more risque events of past years were incorporated into this area of programming, including the annual Drag Show. Other events included round table discussions on sexual fetishes, panels on fantasy lovers, and several events catered to a polyamorous life.
Penguicon Dance
In order to bring even more variety to Penguicon culture, the Annual Penguicon Dance was incorporated into the Life Track, and in 2011 it was themed to correspond with the new After Dark programming. DJ Grotesque is scheduled to appear at the event, in order to bring a mix of industrial goth to an eclectic mix of favorites
