The Macomb Oakland Fan Organization (MOFO for short) is the equivalent of Tuesday at Tio's of the StilyagiAirCorps, but it is in PenguiCon's area. It is a weekly event for those who don't want to drive out to Ann Arbor just to have a social life. MOFO meets every Monday night at 8 PM at Denny's on Telegraph between 696 and 12 Mile Rd in Southfield, which is in Oakland County. Usually there are between a dozen and twenty people. Some leave before 10 PM, others stay past 11 PM. **All fans of ScienceFiction, Fantasy, comics, computers, games, anime and other such fannish pursuits are invited.** MattArnold has also thrown three MOFO parties at his house. SusanHarris came up with the idea a year earlier, but an appropriate restaurant could not be found. In July 2004 BillPutt, who was PenguiCon ConChair at the time, wanted to start it as a thinly-veiled recruitment meeting for PenguiCon, which it successfully has remained to this day. Narfboy (BillAlbin) pointed out Denny's, MattArnold invented the name, and BillPutt organized it and made it happen.
